Separation adds value
Heavy structural steel earns more than light sheet; aluminium windows earn the section rate once glass and gaskets are removed; copper cable and brass fittings should never go out with steel. A few hours of separation on site often adds more than the cost of the labour.
Concrete and soil
Steel with concrete attached or soil mixed in attracts heavy deductions. Breaking concrete away and loading clean steel protects your rate.
